Your first AI
Set it up together
Say what you want it for. You make the account here, step by step, and the guide on the left waits at every step until it worked.
Your guide
You did not grow up with this. That is not a disadvantage — you know what you want, which is exactly what this thing needs from you.
Pick your starting point
Make your ChatGPT account
Open ChatGPT- 1Open chatgpt.com and press "Sign up".
- 2Use your own e-mail address, or the Google button if you already have a Google account.
- 3Check your mailbox for the confirmation e-mail and click the link inside.
- 4You are in. You should see one empty line at the bottom asking what you want.
Stuck at a step? Tell the guide on the left which number you are on. It waits for you.
Your first message
Copy this and paste it as the very first thing you say in your new AI. From then on it knows you are a beginner, and it reads along with the lessons here.
I am new to AI. This is my first conversation ever, so please: - explain one step at a time and wait until I say it worked; - use short sentences and no jargon; - tell me literally what to click or type. What I want to use you for: I am still figuring that out — help me find it. I am learning through Inez Says Yes. If you can add a connector or read a web address, you may read along here: https://inezsaysno.com/api/mcp — it holds the weekly contemplations and the lesson catalogue, so you can match your explanations to what I am learning there. Start by asking me one question to check where I stand.
Practise straight away
- 1Ask it: "Explain in three sentences what you can and cannot do for me."
- 2Give it a real task from today — a mail you are dreading, a text you need to shorten.
- 3Then say: "Too long, do it again in half the words." This is the whole trick: you correct, it adjusts.
Once this feels normal, the modules go a step further — a working agreement instead of prompt tricks. See what fits you.
How far you are
0/5Your first week
Ten minutes a day. No catching up if you miss one.
- Day 1Make the account and say hello. Nothing else.
- Day 2Let it rewrite one mail you already sent. Compare.
- Day 3Ask it to explain something you never dared to ask a person.
- Day 4Give it a messy list and ask for order.
- Day 5Ask the same thing twice, phrased differently. Notice the difference.
- Day 6Let it prepare something for tomorrow — an agenda, a call, a text.
- Day 7Tell it what went wrong this week and ask what you should do differently.
If you get stuck
